Directions: Use small cut up pieces of vegetable and fruit scraps. Do not crush pack food loosely. Sprinkle a little Bokashi on top to speed up decomposition. What is a Happy Farmer Kitchen Composter?

The Happy Farmer Kitchen Composter is a unique in-house composting system used to recycle kitchen waste into an organic soil conditioner. The most effective method of fermenting is through anaerobic (without oxygen) fermentation. This process prepares the scraps for burial in less than half the time of conventional composting methods without any unpleasant odors.

The Happy Farmer Bokashi Fermentation Kitchen Composter can be easily implemented in an indoor environment making it useful for apartment, school, household, restaurant, business or wilderness use.

Instructions: Simply cut food into small pieces and place into the Happy Farmer Kitchen Composter. Then add Bokashi compost starter and secure the airtight lid. When the composter is full, let it sit, unopened for two weeks and ferment. Then mix the fermented food waste with soil and let it compost for another two weeks. In just one month you will have a nutritious plant food that is also rich in beneficial microorganisms. Each counter top composter comes with easy to follow instructions.

Storage:The Happy Farmer Kitchen Composter can be placed under the kitchen sink or other convenient location and is perfect for any size household.

Used in conjunction with Happy Farmer Bokashi, the system provides the ideal conditions to activate anaerobic fermentation that accelerates the composting process, while eliminating odors and deterring flies. The Kitchen Composters two unique features, the strainer and spigot, allow the moisture released by the scraps of food waste to be drained out to prevent spoilage. What is Bokashi?

Happy Farmer™ Bokashi is an all-purpose beneficial microbial inoculant. Bokashi is a Japanese word that means "fermented organic matter." It can be used as a soil amendment to increase the nutrient level and microbial diversity of the soil for application.

Bokashi is made by fermenting wheat bran with molasses and EM and has been traditionally used by Japanese farmers as a soil amendment to increase the nutrient level and microbial diversity of the soil.
